The Institute

The Energy Environment Forecast and Analysis (EEFA), is an independent research institute which is primarily concerned with issues of energy and environment. The results are provided to departments of political decision as well as companies as a consulting service. The EEFA is commissioned to draw the energy balance of Germany, coordinates the compilation of the national statistic of energy for the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris and provides current data of the national greenhouse gas inventories.

By order of the companies participating in the emission trading, EEFA constructed the makroplans of the allocation periods 2005-2007 and 2008-2012.
Furthermore the EEFA-Institute provides the euroCAMAX®. Based on monthly information, this Index describes the current and future development in the European Emissions Trading System.

All surveys are components of a long term research program that contains the following priorities:

Emission Trading

Instruments of climate
protection policy

Analysis and forcasts of
the energymarket

Modelling the supply
